How It Works...
It is important to know that there are 3 basic components to a Dog Guard Fence.
1) THE TRANSMITTER
The transmitter is the heart of the Dog Guard System. It converts the electric current from a basic outlet to a digitally encoded frequency. It then sends that frequency out and around the buried wire in your yard.
2) THE WIRE
The frequency radiates in a circular fashion at an equal distance around the wire.
3) THE RECEIVER COLLAR
The receiver is what your pet wears. It looks for the specified encoded frequency the transmitter sends through the wire and activates upon finding it. The distance from the wire that the receiver will activate (the signal field) is typically set between 3-5 feet but is easily customized. When the receiver enters the signal field it activates, omitting an audio tone and a customizable correction.
